How Much Does a Private Tour from Amsterdam Cost?
Published

If you are comparing private tours from Amsterdam, the first thing to check is how the price is built. With Mike’s Green Tours, every price is per private group of up to 4 guests, not per person. It does not change whether you travel with one, two, three or four guests.
Private tour prices from Amsterdam at a glance
- Half-day windmill tour to Zaanse Schans: 4 hours, €295 per group.
- Holland countryside tour (Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Marken): about 7 hours, €485 per group.
- Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Castle de Haar: 8 hours, €495 per group.
- Giethoorn private tour: 8 hours, €595 per group, canal cruise included.
- Keukenhof private tour: 8 hours, €622 per group, Keukenhof tickets for up to 4 guests included (season 18 March to 9 May 2027).
- Custom private tour: from €240 per group for 3 hours (the minimum). 4 hours is €295, 5 hours €350, 6 hours €430, 7 hours €485 and 8 hours €520.
What is included in the price
Every tour includes your own guide (Mike, an official tour guide with 7 years of experience, in English or Dutch), a Tesla Model Y Premium Long Range, and hotel or accommodation pickup and drop-off in Amsterdam. Pickup at Schiphol Airport or the Amsterdam cruise terminal is possible at no additional charge. Each tour page lists its exact inclusions.
What costs extra
Lunch and tips are not included. Entrance tickets are not included unless the tour page says so, and the Keukenhof tour is the one where tickets are part of the price. Castle de Haar admission is bought separately.
At Zaanse Schans, walking around the village and the workshops is free. Going inside a windmill is optional and costs €7.50 per person, per windmill, paid on the spot.
Booking rules that affect the price
- Book up to 48 hours before your tour at the latest. Dates inside the next 48 hours cannot be requested.
- On the Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Castle de Haar tour, the Holland countryside tour and the Giethoorn tour, a booking made within 7 days of the tour date costs €100 more per group. Book earlier for the Early Bird price shown above.
- The Keukenhof tour must be booked at least 14 days ahead.
- Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure, with a full refund.
Is a private tour worth the price?
With four guests, a €495 day works out at roughly €124 per person for a full day with your own guide, hotel pickup and a flexible itinerary. For two guests it is a different calculation, so the honest answer depends on how much you value having the day to yourselves. If you are weighing it up, read our comparison of a private tour versus a group tour.
